Pranav, an Indian-origin professional who recently joined OpenAI's product marketing team for the API Platform, expressed his enthusiasm for his new role on social media. In a post on X (Twitter), Pranav lauded the team's unwavering commitment and the dynamic work environment at OpenAI, describing his experience as both an honour and an exhilaration.

"Joining @OpenAI to work on product marketing for the API Platform has been an incredible experience! I'm really excited to be working with a stellar group of people at one of the most important companies today. It's an honour and a privilege! One month in, and the pace is manic. Never seen a team grind this hard," Pranav wrote in his post.

Meanwhile, on Monday, Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its co-founders, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. The lawsuit, submitted to a federal court in Northern California, alleges that the organisation has strayed from its original commitment to serve the public interest and is now prioritising profit. The lawsuit characterises the dispute as a "classic conflict between altruism and avarice." 

The complaint accuses Altman and the other defendants of "deliberately misled and exploited Musk, taking advantage of his philanthropic concerns regarding the existential threats posed by artificial intelligence."

Musk was an early supporter of OpenAI when it was founded in 2015 and co-chaired its board alongside Altman. In his lawsuit, he alleges that he invested "tens of millions" of dollars and attracted top AI researchers to the organisation. 

Musk resigned from the board in early 2018, with OpenAI citing at the time that the move was to prevent potential conflicts of interest, as Musk was recruiting AI experts for self-driving technology at his electric car company.
