Bank Holidays In September 2021: Banks To Remain Closed For 4 Consecutive Days, Find Out When

Bank Holidays in September 2021: Starting from Hartalika Teej, banks will be closed from Thursday to Sunday.

New Delhi: Due to festivals like Hartalika Teej and Ganesh Chaturthi, banks will be closed in certain cities for the next four days from today. According to the Reserve Bank of India calendar, there will be holidays on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday due to the celebration of regional festivals in different states.

People living in all these cities will have to postpone their bank operations till Monday.

On September 9, 2021, banks will be closed on the account of Hartalika Teej. This festival will be mainly celebrated in Gangtok.

In addition, many cities in the country will have a Ganesh Chaturthi holiday on Friday i.e. September 10, 2021. Banks will be closed in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Ahmedabad, and Bhubaneswar for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Panaji will observe the holiday on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi. All bank branches in the country will remain closed on September 11, 2021, as it is the second Saturday of the month. September 12, 2021, is also a holiday as it is Sunday.

Significantly, this will be the longest consecutive holiday in September. There will also be a fourth Saturday holiday on September 25, and September 19 and September 26 will be off due to Sunday.
