New Delhi: Akshay Chaudhary, the man responsible for the popular channel "Fantasy Counsel," has been making waves in the world of cricket with his ability to predict outcomes. Chaudhary's journey started at a young age when he began playing cricket in the fourth grade and even attended an academy in Dehradun. However, his parents stopped him from playing cricket after the 10th grade due to board exams. He resumed playing cricket in the 11th and 12th grades but was encouraged by his parents to focus on his education instead.
After completing his mechanical engineering degree from Galgotiya, Chaudhary moved to Kuwait for a job in material planning. It wasn't until 2016-17, when Fantasy Cricket, a fantasy cricket platform, was launched that Chaudhary rediscovered his passion for cricket.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, Chaudhary was in India for a vacation, and all flights were cancelled. He happened to be in India during the IPL, which was taking place in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. One day, while playing snooker with a friend, his friend suggested that he could make money by using his talent for forming teams and making predictions. Chaudhary took the advice and started making predictions for the IPL and other cricket leagues, quickly gaining a large audience on his Instagram page.
Chaudhary's predictions and teams won a lot. Encouraged by his success, he decided to start a YouTube channel in 2021. His journey was an instant hit, and he quickly gained 2 lakh subscribers on YouTube.
Chaudhary's journey was not without its challenges. He had to resign from his job in Kuwait and convince his family that he wanted to focus on fantasy games full-time, a tough sell given that his mother was in the air force. He also faced health issues in the past when he started his startup, The Veg Van, which delivered vegetables and fruits. However, he contracted a virus that affected his eyesight, which led to a loss of vision. After three months of living in a dark black room, he was eventually cured at the Shroff Hospital.
Despite the challenges he faced, Chaudhary's passion for cricket and his talent for making predictions never waned. He became hyperactive on Instagram and continued to make predictions for various cricket leagues. His success and popularity grew, and he was even invited to interview cricket legends like Virender Sehwag and have live sessions with other cricket experts.
