Chef Braj Lata-Led VIP Catering Turns Your Dream Of A Destination Wedding Into A Reality
After hitting an all-time low in 2020 and 2021, destination weddings made a huge comeback in 2022 and are all set to reach new heights in 2023.
New Delhi (India), February 21: This wedding season, Chef Braj Lata, along with her VIP’s Catering, is dedicated to making destination weddings more convenient and hassle-free than ever. The Indian wedding industry is largely an unorganised sector. Yet, it was worth about Rs 3.68 trillion in 2022.
In 2023, the sector is expected to witness a growth of 200%. After hitting an all-time low in 2020 and 2021, destination weddings made a huge comeback in 2022 and are all set to reach new heights in 2023.
When it comes to destination weddings, there are only a few places in India that can top Rajasthan. Udaipur and Jodhpur have already solidified their position as top wedding destinations in the hearts of soon-to-be married couples, thanks to their mesmerising venues. However, in recent years, Jaisalmer has also emerged as a potential competitor of the formal two. For a long time, Jaisalmer suffered from connectivity issues, unlike other destinations.
Chef Braj Lata explains, “We did a 3-day wedding in 2017 in Jaisalmer. Flight tickets were hardly available, and my chef’s car and bus took around 22 hours for an 830 km Journey to Jaisalmer. My trucks and refrigerator van took almost 40 hours.”
However, she made it clear that things have changed greatly since then. Owing to new Govt. policies, road condition now is much better than it was in 2017.
“This my time chef’s car took around 13 hours from Delhi,” she adds. In this season, Chef Braj Lata and her VIP’s Catering have been in charge of a few weddings in Jaisalmer and an integral part of a recent prominent wedding there.
If we are talking about Indian weddings, we can’t really skip talking about food, can we? VIP’s Catering specialises in various cuisines from all around the globe. At a recent wedding in Ahmedabad, guests were thrilled to have their grilled brussels sprouts with Hungarian stew. Chef Braj Lata’s mouth-watering chats and North Indian dishes are the centres of attraction of the wedding ceremonies she organises. “We make authentic chat like it is served in streets all across India. However, we never compromise the level of hygiene maintained,” she comments.
Besides traditional dishes, her fusion food items are also well-received by the guests at weddings. Blue potato and sweet potato gnocchi are the most loved dishes in recent functions. Another must-try item on their menu is charcoal-grilled imported sweet potatoes. “We made a few changes to our sushi and dim sum menu, but the rest of our Asian spread is authentic.”
VIP’s Catering serves a non-vegetarian menu consisting of exotic items such as New Zeeland lamb chop, lobsters, Jumbo prawns, etc.
While already-popular Jaipur, Udaipur, and Goa continue to be popular wedding destinations, the market is expanding at a more rapid speed than ever. In this scenario, people want a reliable and capable vendor to make all the wedding expenses worth it. So, Chef Braj Lata and her VIP Catering are ready to deliver you the wedding of your dreams.
