New Delhi: Mahindra is going big on electric cars and it has announced that it will showcase three SUV concepts that would lead to expected future launches in the electric SUV segment. These electric SUVs are based on the new electric platform and the teaser shows the design language of these concept SUVs.

Set to be unveiled in July, these concept SUVs point to an entirely new range for Mahindra electric SUVs alongside the petrol/diesel SUVs currently in the Mahindra range.

The teaser shows C-shaped DRLs while the concepts are of different sizes indicating how each concept would be aimed towards a different segment. We expect one of them to be the XUV900 rumoured SUV coupe and the other would be the XUV700 electric SUV concept along with a compact SUV XUV400 EV concept.

However, Mahindra has just showcased the teaser with no information and we are assuming it would be likely to be called with these names. These SUV EV concepts are designed by the Mahindra Advanced Design Studio in the UK and feature aggressive styling going by the teaser.

Mahindra is betting on EVs and these three EV SUVs would be the ones that would lead the range for the car-maker. From the teaser video released, the rear also gets a big C shaped design which indicates a new design language similar to current designs like the new XUV700.

More details would be revealed but going forward expect more launches in the electric SUV space which will mean more choice for the Indian EV buyer as currently there are only a few electric SUVs on sale.
