Kawasaki W175 Most Affordable Bike In India- Know Price Of W175 Single-Cylinder 177cc Fuel-Injected
It is a retro-themed motorcycle that will compete with the likes of the Enfield Hunter 350 and more including the Ronin from TVS too.
Kawasaki W175 would be the brand's most affordable motorcycle in India with a price of Rs 1,47,000 along with deliveries starting from December. The special edition model is more expensive though at Rs 1.49 lakh. It is a retro-themed motorcycle that will compete with the likes of the Enfield Hunter 350 and more including the Ronin from TVS too. The engine is a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which develops 12.8bhp and a peak torque of 13.2Nm. The gearbox is a 5-speed one. One highlight is that the India spec version has the fuel-injected version of this engine and is not carbureted.
The design is an old-school naked bike and is a retro roadster of sorts with an analogue instrument cluster along with a classic design to it. More emphasis has been paid to the design aspect rather than tech features with a W branding also seen on the instrument cluster. You can also see the round headlamp and wire spoke wheels which again point to the design direction that we spoke about.
The motorcycle is not exactly feature-loaded but its lightweight nature will help in spirited performance even though it is not very powerful. There is also no rear disc brake or LED light which points at cost cutting. With a 165mm ground clearance, the W175 would be capable for our roads though. This is the second bike from the W series in India and aims to provide a simple riding experience with a retro feel.
There would be two colours on offer: Ebony and red colour along with two variants as well namely, Standard and Special Edition. The higher localisation results in an aggressive price-tag for sure. The segment in which the newest Kawasaki will operate already has a bunch of rivals including the aforementioned Royal Enfield plus Jawa and Yezdi. The bike is also sold across many international markets.
