This is perhaps the most viral car in India and also one that gets more attention than a supercar. Meet the gigantic Hummer EV from GMC and it is the new generation avatar of the old Hummer. This retains a few key elements of the old Hummer but gets more tech and now has electric power- lots of it.

This has been launched in India by Friday Night Cars and you can buy one with the price being a cool Rs 3.8 crore. The GMC Hummer EV SUV is big but that is an understatement since our first look revealed that it is a monster with a length of more than 5.2 m and with a width of 2202 mm. It is perhaps the widest and one of the biggest cars in the world while you can rival trucks with this kind of height.

The huge grille is chrome laden and lights up while the boxy design plus the huge wheels makes it tower over other cars. Everything is automatic including the large frunk which opens at the front and the rear boot which is huge too. Getting in requires a lot of effort with its sheer length while the interior is cool and functional.

There is a large 13.8-inch HD touchscreen display plus there are big chunky controls. The cool bit again are the transparent sky panels which are detachable. Space is massive but this is a 5-seater and features include Google built-in, Bose audio system, cameras all round including underbody and more.

The more powerful SUV variant has three motors with 830 bhp and a 205 kWh 24-module Ultium Battery Pack. Range is around 500 km plus but the performance figures for a 4.5 tonne plus car is 3.5 seconds to 100 kmph with that being surreal. The gigantic Hummer is one of the biggest and heaviest cars in the world while for the price, the road presence plus performance are the main highlights.
