A joyous occasion turned tragic in Penumada village, Krishnagiri Mandal, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, when a young man, Vamsi, collapsed on stage while attending a friend's wedding. The 27-year-old, an Amazon employee based in Bengaluru, suffered a heart attack while presenting a gift during the ceremony.

This tragedy adds to a series of recent incidents where seemingly healthy individuals have succumbed to sudden cardiac events. Last year in Chennai, a 41-year-old gym trainer passed away due to cardiac arrest following intense exercise.
In another incident, a 33-year-old gym trainer named Adil collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The episode, captured on CCTV, showed Adil collapsing while seated. Though his aides rushed him to a nearby hospital, he died on the way.
Adil’s family revealed that he had been experiencing a fever in the days leading up to the incident but continued his regular gym routine. He owned a gym in Shalimar Garden and was the father of four children.
Meanwhile, health experts point to lifestyle factors, rigorous exercise routines and undiagnosed health conditions as potential contributors to the rising cases of sudden cardiac arrests among younger individuals. These incidents serve as a sobering reminder of the importance of regular health check-ups and listening to one’s body to prevent such tragedies.
