Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated twice a year. One falls on the full moon day of Chaitra month in the Shukla Paksha, and the other on the fourteenth day of Kartik month in the Krishna Paksha. The first Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated because Lord Hanuman was born on that day from Mata Anjani's womb, while the second one, celebrated a day before Diwali, signifies the day when Mata Sita blessed Hanuman with immortality, witnessing his unwavering devotion.

On this day, devotees worship Hanuman Ji with vermilion, red attire, flower garlands, roses, ladoos, halwa, and bananas. Various processions and religious events are also organised.

  • Begin the worship of Hanuman Jayanti with the worship of Lord Ganesha. After that, worship Lord Rama and Sita. Then, start the worship of Hanuman Ji.

  • Observing a fast on Hanuman Jayanti and performing Hanuman Ji's worship is very beneficial.

  • The simplest and most popular way to worship Hanuman Ji on this day is to recite the Hanuman Chalisa.
