Violent Clash Erupts Between YSRCP, TDP Workers In Andhra's Palnadu—Watch
The clash started after the history-sheeter of ruling YSRCP pelted stones at opposition TDP workers in Macherla town of Palnadu.
Chennai: Violent clashes erupted between the workers of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Palnadu district on Friday. The clash started after a history-sheeter of ruling YSRCP pelted stones at opposition TDP workers in Macherla town of Palnadu.
According to ANI, Palnadu SP Ravi Sankar Reddy said, "Some people with criminal history pelted stones at opponents in a program in Macherla town, Palnadu district. Those involved have been nabbed. Situation under control, Section 144 implemented in town."

"This is a purely factional fight, not a political fight. These factional attacks have continued in this area for the past 20 to 30 years. As part of pre-emptive measures, a cordon search was conducted there from today (Saturday) morning. as people with a criminal history of faction related to Veldurthi were living in Macherla town,” he said, as per ANI.

A video of the incident has also been shared by ANI. The visuals from the crime scene showed the accused vandalizing the area.

The police have implemented Section 144 in the town and arrested those involved in the case. They also arrested TDP leader Julankanti Brahma Reddy.
The SP also said that cases have been booked against both parties and action will be taken against them.
He also said that the situation will be brought under control by Saturday morning.
