Sharath Prathipati, the son of former TDP Minister and senior party leader Prathipati Pulla Rao, has been arrested in connection with an alleged money laundering and GST tax evasion case. The case, linked to Avexa Corporation Private Limited, has been registered at the Machavaram police station. The arrest was made by NTR commissioner of Vijayawada.

Following the arrest, TDP cried foul over the arrest accusing the YSRCP of engaging in vendetta politics. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu criticised CM YS Jagan for targeting the son of a senior party figure and slammed the move as an act of 'Government-Driven Terrorism'.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), N Chandrababu Naidu stated that the politics of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP have intensified as the elections approach. Citing Sarath's unlawful arrest, he expressed that Telugu Desam Party leaders are facing harassment through systems and institutions orchestrated by government-driven terrorism. He vehemently denounced this act as illegal and demanded Sarath's immediate release.

Furthermore, N Chandrababu Naidu questioned the motives behind the actions of Andhra Pradesh State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (APSDRI) saying that it is targeting TDP leaders with baseless cases.

He challenged the government to disclose the number and nature of cases filed by APSDRI over the past three years. Highlighting the YSRCP's utilisation of APSDRI and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as tools to persecute TDP members, he emphasised the political nature of these actions.

N Chandrababu Naidu said that these 'conspiracies' were aimed to undermine TDP candidates ahead of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
