IMD Predicts Rains In Andhra Pradesh And Telangana For Next Three Days
As per IMD prediction, light to moderate rains or thundershowers is likely at some places in South Coast Andhra for the next two days.
Hyderabad: Rain continues to lash both Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) centres in Hyderabad and Amaravati announced that the states would receive rain for the next three days.
IMD announced that the East-West trough is now extending from Punjab to West Central Bay of Bengal from the coast of South Odisha through Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, North East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, South Odisha and extending up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level.
The surface meridian bends towards the south at an altitude of 3.1 km to 5.8 km above mean sea level in central coastal Odisha and surrounding areas. Winds along the North Indian Peninsula along 19 degrees North latitude continued at 3.1 to 7.6 km above sea level and weakened today.

Light to moderate showers or thundershowers are likely at several places along the north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam for two days. Heavy rains are likely in one or two areas. Thunderstorms and lightning are also possible in one or two places, predicted IMD.

Chance of rain in all districts of Telangana, including Adilabad, Bhadradri Kottagudem, Hyderabad, Jagittala, Janagama, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Asifabad, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Vanaparthi on Thursday, the IMD's Hyderabad office said.
