IMD Issues Yellow Alert In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana For Next Three Days
The Amaravati Met Office said heavy to very heavy rains will occur in north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam for the next three days.
Hyderabad: Surface circulation extends over the west-central Bay of Bengal, Andhra Pradesh coast at 3.1 km above mean sea level. Due to this effect, the India Meteorological Department said that heavy rains would likely occur in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next three days.
From Rayalaseema across Tamil Nadu to the Comoros region, the north-south trough weakened at 0.9 km above mean sea level. From the surface trough over East Rajasthan and its vicinity to West Central Bay of Bengal over the coastal region of North Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh. The surface trough continued to weaken up to 1.5 km and 3.1 km above mean sea level. A yellow alert has been issued in AP and Telangana till July 30 due to heavy rains.
Heavy Rains in Telangana
The Hyderabad Met office said that due to the effect of surface circulation, heavy to very heavy rains will occur in the state till the end of this month. The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy and Kamareddy districts.

Rains in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam
The Amaravati Met Office said heavy to very heavy rains will occur in north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam for the next three days. There is a possibility of lightning in some areas, and people have been warned to be alert.IMD said that along with Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts, East Godavari and West Godavari would also receive rains at many places.
The IMD predicts no rain forecast for Rayalaseema while there is rain in South Coastal Andhra. The Guntur, Prakasam, Krishna and Nellore districts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh will receive moderate rains. Cold winds will blow in Kurnool, Chittoor, Anantapur and Kadapa districts.
