G20 Infrastructure Working Summit In Visakhapatnam To Host Delegates From 200 Countries

The G20 Infrastructure Working Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on March 28 and 29, is expected to be attended by about 200 delegates from different countries. The arrangements for the summit have been completed in Visakhapatnam, and Rs 157 crores have been spent on the preparations.

According to Visakhapatnam Municipal Administration and Urban Development Secretary Srilakshmi, necessary transport, accommodation, and security arrangements for the delegates have been completed. As part of the conference preparations, infrastructure has also been developed in the areas that will be visited by foreign delegates.

Srilakshmi also mentioned that 46 kilometres of BT road work, 24 kilometres of painting works, and ten kilometres of footpath construction have been completed. She further emphasized that Visakhapatnam is the most beautiful city in the country, and permanent city beautification works have been undertaken at a cost of around Rs 157 crores. She stated that the Andhra Pradesh government aims to develop Visakhapatnam as the capital city following Chief Minister Jagan Reddy's announcement of Visakhapatnam as the executive capital for Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister Adimulapu Suresh stated that 200 delegates from different countries are expected to attend the conference, and necessary transport, accommodation, and security arrangements have been made for them. The foreign delegates will also be provided with complete information about the state and investment opportunities during the conference.

A review meeting on the arrangements for the Global Investors Summit was held on Saturday, with Special CS Sri Lakshmi, District Collector A. Mallikharjuna, Commissioner of Police CH Srikanth, GVMC Commissioner Rajababu, Member of Parliament MVV Satyanarayana, Mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari, Legislators Avanti Srinivasa Rao, and Thippala Nagireddy in attendance.
