Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government, headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Thursday signed an MoU with Byju's, an ed-tech company, to provide quality content to students of class 4 to class 10 in government schools.
Commissioner of Education S Suresh Kumar and Byju's Vice President (Public Policy) Sushmit Sarkar signed the agreement in the presence of CM Jagan. Ravindran, the founder and CEO of Byju's, virtually took part in the event from the US.
CM Jagan emphasised on providing quality education to students in the state. The CM met Byju Ravindran during the World Economic Forum 2022 in Davos, which ended on May 26.

Speaking on this occasion, CM Jagan said the program would change the lives of poor children. The primary purpose of this project is to provide quality education to the children. He said e-learning would be available to students in grades 4 to 10 in government schools, where visualisation is tailored to be understood by students through Byju's.
The CM said that the government would provide tablets for class 8 students at the cost of Rs 500 crores.
Jagan said a quality curriculum for private school pupils costs between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000 yearly. It will now be provided for free to government school students. Furthermore, the government will give children tablets to improve their digital experience and knowledge, said CM.
