Andhra Pradesh: Police Officer Dies By Suicide In Anantapur District
Ananda Rao and his wife Anuradha were having frequent fights for the last few days. Matters came to a head on Sunday and both had a heated argument.
A police officer died by suicide in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Tadipatri Town Circle Inspector Ananda Rao (52) hanged himself at his residence in the early hours of Monday. He was serving as Tadipatri CI for the last nine months, police said.
The CI killed himself at his rented house at CPI Colony in Tadipatri town. Preliminary investigation by the police showed that the police officer took the extreme step due to marital discord.

According to family members, the police officer was under severe work stress for the last three months. He was transferred from Kadapa to Tadipatri in September last year. He originally hails from Chandragiri in Chittoor district. Police have registered a case of suicide and initiated a further investigation into the matter.
On Sunday, a student of a private medical college in Andhra Pradesh died by suicide. According to an IANS report, Chaitanya (23), a house surgeon, hanged herself in her hostel room at Narayana Medical College in Nellore.
After receiving the information, police rushed to the college hostel and shifted the body for autopsy. The student hailed from Palasa in Srikakulam district and was staying in the college hostel. She got married only two months ago, IANS said. Police suspect that the student ended her life due to domestic problems. Police said they have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
