Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Releases Welfare Benefits Worth Rs 137 Crore To 3.39 Lakh Beneficiaries
People eligible for welfare benefits but did not receive them for various reasons during the regular release of cash are now considered beneficiaries.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released Rs137 crore to about 3.39 lakh beneficiaries who missed out on the benefits of various welfare schemes on Tuesday. People eligible for welfare benefits but did not receive them for various reasons during the regular release of cash are now considered beneficiaries.
Speaking on occasion CM said, "We have selected 2,99,085 new beneficiaries under the 'YSR Pension Kanuka'. We have sanctioned 7,051 rice cards and 3,035 Arogyashri cards to the eligible candidates. Due to this, the state government is burdened with an additional Rs 931 crore annually. We are providing benefits to those who failed to get the benefit under 12 welfare schemes in 'EBC Nestham', 'Jagananna Chedodu', 'YSR Matsyakara Bharosa', Input Subsidy To Framers, 'Jagananna Vidya Deevena', 'Jaganna Vasati Deevena', 'YSR Sunna Vaddi', 'YSR Kapu Nestham', 'YSR Vahana Mitra', 'YSR Nethanna Nesham'," said Jagan.
CM Jagan reiterated that the YSRCP government intended to provide the benefits of the welfare schemes to all the deserving people fairly and transparently, without any scope of corruption, regardless of caste, religion, class, or party.

The benefits recipients should still receive them even if they miss the help on the regular schedule, and officials were instructed to be liberal and accommodating in doing so.
All these individuals have been urged to submit their applications to the closest village or ward secretariats, where they will be reviewed by local officials. Financial support would be awarded in July once the applications submitted between December and May have been finalised in June.
Similarly, the applications received between June-November would be finalised in December and will be granted the benefit by January, he said.
