Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy disbursed the fourth installment of the 'YSR Nethanna Nestham' to the beneficiaries and addressed a public meeting at Pedana in Krishna district on Thursday. After the speech, CM Jagan directly deposited Rs 193.31 crores into the accounts of the 80,546 beneficiaries through the direct benefit transfer method.
"He observed the lives of handloom weavers during the padayatra that he covered more than 3,000 kms. We have given each handloom weaver family Rs 24,000 for the last three years. Now for the fourth year also, Rs 24,000 is being deposited directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries. Our government is helping each family with Rs 96,000 in four years."

Jagan said that till now, Rs 2,049 crores had been spent on the welfare of the handloom weavers. He noted that the weaver's income increased three times after his government came into power. He said that the AP government has signed agreements with e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon, and Myntra and is marketing the handloom garments through APCO.
CM Jagan further said that 70 per cent of the cabinet consists of SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities and allocated four Rajya Sabha seats to leaders from backward classes. He noted that the YSRCP government is doing social justice to SC, ST and BCs.
He said that till now, Rs 2,049 crores had been spent on the welfare of the handloom weavers, and no government has provided such assistance in the past.
