Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Reddy Disburses Rs 1,090 Crore To 51.12 Lakh Farmers

The CM deposited the amount into the accounts of beneficiaries with a click of a button under the Direct Benefit Transfer mode at an event held in Tenali in the Guntur district.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy disbursed financial assistance of Rs 1,090.76 crore to 51.12 lakh farmers, mainly victims of crop loss due to natural calamities, under the YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan Scheme on Tuesday.

The CM deposited the amount into the accounts of beneficiaries with a click of a button under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode at an event held in Tenali in the Guntur district. Each beneficiary would get Rs 2,000.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, "If the farmer is happy, so will the state. Thank you for your love and affection. We are releasing the third tranche of YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan funds for the fourth consecutive year. We will also provide Rs. 13,500 as an input subsidy to farmers who have lost crops due to typhoons."

"This year, 50.92 lakh people have already benefited from Rs 5,853.74 crore in two installments. Under the third installment, 51.12 lakh people will get Rs. 1,090.76 crore," he further said.

Preparations In Full Swing For Global Investors' Summit In Visakhapatnam: CM Jagan

On Monday, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said preparations for the upcoming Global Investors' Summit (GIS) were in full swing. Scheduled to be held on March 3 and 4 in Visakhapatnam, the state government is leaving no stone unturned to make it a success as it is hoping to garner investments.

 "Preparations are in full swing in Visakhapatnam for the AP Global Investors' Summit. I welcome everyone to come and experience the beauty and vibrancy of our Andhra Pradesh," CM Jagan tweeted.
