Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy Presents Bow, Quiver To PM Modi
The Prime Minister also bowed to the lineage of freedom fighters, more so to the relatives of Manyam Veerudu and Tribal Chieftain Mallu Dora.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has presented an unusual gift to PM Modi during the 125th birth anniversary celebration of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju in Bhimavaram. Taking everyone by surprise, the Chief Minister presented a bow and a quiver to the Guest of Honour, much to the delight of everyone.
The bow and quiver of arrows is a symbolic representation of "Manyam Veerudu" Alluri Sitarama Raju, who took on the might of the British with his weaponry bow and arrows and led a rebellion with an army of tribals with their traditional weapons.
The Prime Minister also bowed to the lineage of freedom fighters, more so to the relatives of "Manyam Veerudu" and Tribal Chieftain Mallu Dora.

Jagan Reddy and the PM packed their speeches with arrow-like fiery incidents from the life and times of Sitharama Raju.The Chief Minister spoke in diction to suit the occasion. At the same time, PM Modi opened his speech in Telugu and stuck to the language longer than the usual greetings.
To begin the year-long festivities, Modi unveiled a 30-foot Sitarama Raju statue made of bronze.
In his remarks, CM Jagan stated that freedom warriors aimed to create a society in which there is no exploitation of one individual by another or by one nation by another. He said thousands of warriors sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom. He declared that future generations will treasure his fighting spirit and that the country would never forget a wonderful man like him who gave his life at such a young age.
