Andhra Pradesh: 17-Year-Old Student Dies While Waiting Outside Exam Centre, Docs Suspect Cardiac Arrest

Satish had gone to write the English intermediate exam when he suddenly complained of chest pain while waiting outside the exam centre.

New Delhi: A 17-year-old student collapsed and died while waiting outside an examination centre in Tirupati district in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. As per reports, Satish, a student of intermediate second year, studied at the Sri Swarnandhra Bharati Junior College in Gudur, where he had gone to write an examination on Tuesday when the incident took place.

According to a report by news agency IANS, Satish was a resident of Kammavaripalli village. He had been travelling to the town from the village every day to appear in the ongoing annual examinations.

On Tuesday, Satish had gone to write the English intermediate exam when he suddenly complained of chest pain while waiting outside the exam centre.

Satish had reached the exam centre in Gudur and was going through the frisking process conducted by police officials before letting the students enter the campus.

During the process, Satish complained of chest pain to a police official, who made him sit nearby.

However, Satish also started complaining of difficulty in breathing, after which the official called an ambulance. But as the ambulance was still some distance away and Satish was in need of immediate treatment, the officials arranged to take him to the nearby hospital in their vehicle.

According to the witnesses, Satish suddenly started sweating and collapsed on the ground. He was then rushed to the nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The doctors suspect the student suffered a cardiac arrest.

On receiving the information, Satish’s parents rushed to the hospital, and were inconsolable.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and have started an investigation on the matter.
