The government has released the 13th instalment of financial benefits worth Rs 16,800 crore to more than eight crore eligible farmers under the flagship PM-KISAN scheme ahead of Holi and rabi harvesting. The PM-KISAN scheme has transferred benefits to landholding farmer families nation who have cultivable land.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, launched by Modi in 2019, aims to provide income support to all landholder farmer families across the country with cultivable land, subject to specific exclusions.
What are the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme?
In every four months period starting from April to July, August to November, and December to March of each fiscal year, the money is transferred to the farmers’ accounts in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each.
This scheme uses Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to send a reward of Rs 6,000 per year into the bank accounts of farming households across the country.
In case, the beneficiary wants to change the name as per Aadhaar, then there is an option to edit the same. There are simple steps to follow to edit the name as per Aadhaar, according to the DBT Agriculture Bihar website.

Know the steps to edit the name in PM Kisan as per Aadhaar
1. You need to enter PM KISAN Aadhaar number in the "Change Beneficiary Name as per Aadhaar" area which can be found in the "Farmers Corner" part on the portal's home page, according to the standard operating procedure as mentioned on the website under PM Kisan new version.
2. The submitted Aadhaar number will be verified by the application against the database. If the Aadhar number is already in use, the application will ask the user to confirm (Yes/No) whether they want to edit the name.
If the Aadhaar number is not in the database, a message stating that will be displayed "The database does not contain the entered Aadhaar number. For more information, please get in touch with the district/village level officer."
If you click on "yes", the farmer details will be displayed including Registration Number, Farmer Name, Mobile Number, Sub-district Village Aadhaar Number
3. Here you need to click the e-KYC link, and complete e-KYC. The farmer will be directed to finish the e-KYC procedure after clicking the link, and the PM KISAN database will be updated with the information retrieved from Aadhaar with regards to the farmer. The database will be updated with demographic information like Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number as Per Aadhar, and Father's/Name. Husband's
4. The status of Aadhaar seeding can be checked through NPCI following the successful completion of e-KYC. Records will be forwarded for additional processing in accordance with the if Aadhaar is seeded with a bank account. If the Aadhaar seeding status is "No," then you will receive a notification about seeding the Aadhaar number with a bank account.
