Sri Lankan navy apprehends 12 TN fishermen

Rameswaram [Tamil Nadu], September 12 (ANI): The Sri Lankan Navy on Monday apprehended 12 Indian fishermen, along with three boats near the Delft Island.

The fishermen are residents of Rameswaram in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.

Earlier on August 31, the Sri Lankan Navy had apprehended as many as eight Tamil Nadu fishermen, along with two boats, near the Delft Island.

All the fishermen were taken to the Kankesanthurai Naval Camp for interrogation. (ANI)
