Leap Pro Sports announces first ever semi-professional league in India

New Delhi [India], Apr 13 (ANI): LEAP Pro Sports in association with adidas has announced adidas Creators Premier League, India's first ever semi-professional league.

The adidas Creators Premier League will be the first ever semi-professional football league in India catering football at a semi-professional level. It is a whole new avenue created and dedicated to football lovers who like to indulge in the sports for leisure and sheer passion of the game.

The aim is to give players a chance to experience the sport on and off the field. All the details of the games like highlights and match reports will be provided to the players to follow the sport better, enabling them to further pursue a career in football. 11v11 format, 60 minutes game, FIFA rules and regulations applied.

"adidas Creators Premier League is a movement which will stir up quite a storm in the football circuit in our country. I am thrilled to be a part of this fantastic setup by Leap Pro Sports which is meant to develop football amongst the amateur and semi-professional players. It will not only take the sport closer to the nation's heart but it will connect football enthusiasts' countrywide. I highly believe that it's time to Live Like Legends while keeping the community intact and adding value to the football system of our nation," said Rannvijay Singh Singha, partner at Leap Prop Sports.

The country has a lot of potential talent as well as a pool of football aficionados who love to indulge in the game. The adidas Creators Premier League is an initiative to offer a platform wherein semi-professional players can partake in the sport and fulfill their passion for the game at a serious level," said Hemant Sharma, co-owner of adidas Creators Premier League.

At a press conference in New Delhi, the event announced auction of the 16 teams for the upcoming league that will kick-start on April 28, 2018 (date). Prominent TV stars like Rannvijay Singh, DJ and VJ Nikhil Chinapa, actor Shiv Pandit, Mandana Karimi and other popular names from of Roadies and Splitsvilla were present to grace the event. (ANI)
