IFFD's NEWGEN Designers: India Runway Week fashioning young dreams

New Delhi [India], October 13 (ANI): IFFD's India Runway Week leads the way when it comes to promoting and developing young talent.

This season IFFD brought 10 Newgen designers to IRW W/F 2017 to showcase their talent before the fashion world.

The designers include: APASH by Aparna and Shruti, Vintage Loom by Ashina Chharia, Nisha Singh, Saima Kashif, Rav by Vashu, Élan by Rahul and Vidhu, JM by Jyoti and Munish, Getup by Shweta and Moumita, Rajat and Sumit and Twee-In-One by Niti Singhal.

Other than Newgen designers, there were debutants like Sulakshna Jasra, Sangeeta and Swati, and Avrachic by Shalini, who made IRW W/F 2017, a splendid affair with their Winter Festive collections.

APASH by Aparna and Shruti came up with theme Kesariya which clearly described the heritage and royalty of the state Rajasthan. Vintage Loom by Ashina Chharia showcased her latest travel themed collection 'Wanderlust', Nisha Singh presented her collection 'Her Majesty', which was a blend of Indo western and western garments with fine cuts and silhouettes for women. Saima Kashif showcased an Indian Bridesmaid enriched with the cultural beauty; Rav by Vashu presented 'Nakshatra' fused with the twist of denim, decorated with beautiful embroidery work of zardozi; with its 'Samhitha Collection', Élan by Rahul and Vidhu showcased its ensembles with a very simple yet classy look. JM by Jyoti and Munish showcased their collection on Royal fantasy, Getup by Shweta and Moumita showed modified drapes fused with Zari, zardozi embroidery, the ancient craft of India.

Rajat and Sumit's theme for the collection was "Indian Modern boho" and Twee-In-One by Niti Singhal aimed to bring its customers a little happiness by solving all these problems through their exclusive collections of reversible and convertible clothing for India Runway Week W/F 2017.

"They (young designers) can think of new ways of presenting and are natural communicators of the fashion world - they are all individualists with electrifying, bright concepts which are a pleasure to see. We feel happy to have all these Newgen designers on IRW who will soon become the ace designers of the industry. It is really important for all of us who represent an industry (specifically fashion) to bring forth all such talent without being unfair. Fashion is a powerful tool that communicates vision for the sustainable development" said Avinash Pathania, director, Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD). (ANI)
