Hurricane Irma: India issues 24hrs helpline in Kingston
New Delhi [India], September 10 (ANI): India on Sunday issued a 24 hour helpline after Jamaica's Kingston was put on 'Hurricane' alert.
India opened the helpline after a warning was issued amid the possibility of Category 5 Hurricane Irma hitting the region.
The National Hurricane Center forecasts that Irma will remain a powerful storm throughout the week.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar took to twitter and shared helpline numbers and e-mail ids.
