Exhibition dedicated to women organised in Srinagar
Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) [India], June 14 (ANI): A unique exhibition is being organised from June 12 by young Kashmiri entrepreneurs for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar in a bid to boost women entrepreneurship.
Pakistani and Indian suits, sarees, lehengas, cosmetics, bridal wear, crockery, handmade bakery, home decor, stoles, abayas, hijabs, handmade soaps and other items were displayed at the exhibition.
"The exhibition is not only attracting locals but a large number of tourists as well. It has been organised exclusively for housewives and other ladies who could not manage to flourish their work due to non-availability of a proper platform," said Nelofar, the organiser of the exhibition .
"We are getting a very good response from the people. I am happy people are coming to buy different varieties," she added.
"I like buying products from the exhibitions. Here I found a mixed collection ranging from home decor, traditional wear to handmade soaps," said Uroosa, a customer.
Another customer at the exhibition said, "The concept of this exhibition is really unique and people should invest in these kinds of stuff. It is a complete store for everything a woman needs."
The buyers and visitors were enthralled with the collection. (ANI)
