As the operations continue, rescue workers prep for a multi-pronged approach.

International experts have been roped in to assist in the rescue operations.

President of International Tunneling Underground Space Professor Arnold Dix arrived at the collapse site on Monday.

Dix said, 'The work is very systematic. The food and the medication are being provided properly'.

The officials have laid a 6-inch pipeline for around 40 meters in order to deliver food and water to the workers trapped in the tunnel.

On Sunday, rescue efforts were halted as agencies prepared for the next stage to reach and rescue 41 men.

Officials claimed that a road to the top of the hill was built in a single day to construct a vertical shaft down into the tunnel.

BJP leader Vijay Goel performed Havan at Hanuman Temple in Delhi for the rescue the trapped workers.

Union Road Minister Nitin Gadkari also visited the site along with CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday.

Meanwhile, PM Modi had a telephonic conversation with CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and took stock of the progress.
