5 DIY Face Masks With Kitchen Ingredients

Yoghurt, honey, and turmeric

Yoghurt, honey, and turmeric improve uneven skin tone and texture.

Lactic acid gently exfoliates, revealing smoother skin; honey locks in moisture; and turmeric combats hyperpigmentation.

Mix yoghurt, honey, and turmeric powder; apply the mask; let it sit for up to 10 minutes; then rinse for improved skin tone and texture.

Honey, Olive Oil, Egg Yolk, and Oatmeal

A blend of oatmeal, olive oil, honey, and egg yolk soothes redness, inflammation, and acne on the skin.

Oatmeal and olive oil provide hydration, while egg yolk tightens the skin, reducing signs of ageing.

Whisk together one egg yolk, one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of olive oil, and half a cup of oatmeal. Apply to clean skin for 15-20 minutes, then rinse off for refreshed skin.

Papaya, Aloe Vera, and Cacao

Papaya, cacao powder, and aloe vera work together to rejuvenate dull skin.

Papaya's enzymes remove dead cells, while cacao powder boosts circulation and brightens. Aloe vera's vitamins and nutrients soothe and hydrate, leaving the skin radiant.

Mash one-quarter of papaya, mix with one tablespoon of cacao powder, and add a generous squeeze of aloe vera gel. Apply the mask and rinse after 10 minutes for a refreshed, luminous appearance.

Almond and Olive Oil

Almonds and olive oil help combat clogged pores and skin congestion caused by urban environments.

Fatty acids and proteins in almonds soften and condition the skin, and vitamin E-rich olive oil neutralises free radicals, combating dullness and dehydration.

Mix ground almonds with olive oil, apply to clean skin, massage gently, and rinse after 10 minutes for refreshed skin.

Lemon, Turmeric, and Green Tea

Lemon, turmeric, and green tea work together to combat collagen depletion and reduce wrinkles.

Antioxidants in green tea reduce wrinkles and protect against UV damage; lemon tightens skin barriers; and turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties shield against discoloration and acne scarring.

Combine green tea, turmeric powder, and lemon juice. Apply the mask using a cotton ball, let it penetrate for three minutes, reapply until finished, leave the final layer on for 10 minutes, then rinse for revitalised skin.
