Sonia Gandhi re-elected as leader of Congress Parliamentary Party
Newly-elected Lok Sabha MPs of the Congress today met for the first time and are to elect the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP). At the CPP meeting was chaired by Sonia Gandhi, all 52 Lok Sabha MPs were present, besides its members in the Rajya Sabha.
The meeting is being held in the central hall of Parliament and MPs will also chalk out its strategy for the upcoming session of Parliament. At the meeting, Sonia Gandhi was elected as the leader of Congress Parliamentary Party. On Twitter, Randeep Singh Surjewala wrote "Smt. Sonia Gandhi elected as the leader of Congress Parliamentary Party! She says, ‘we thank the 12.13 Cr voters for reposing faith in the Congress Party’."
