The Radisson Blu Hotel, where Eknath Shinde and his team of rebel MLAs are currently residing, is guarded heavily by security. The State Reserve Police Force has been deployed outside the hotel to guard the Shiv Sena rebels inside the hotel. 

Eknath Shinde needs 37 MLAs from Shiv Sena to be on his side to be able to form a coalition with the BJP. 

Eknath Shinde rebelled against Shiv Sena after getting upset over the cross-voting that took place in the MLC elections in Maharashtra.
