UP govt to give Rs 6000 as annual pension to 'triple talaq' victims

The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 criminalizes triple talaq among Muslims. The Act makes instant triple talaq a cognizable offense and attracts up to three years of imprisonment and a fine. Under the act, an accused can be arrested without a warrant. Now the Yogi Adityanath government has announced that they will give Rs 6000 as annual pension to the triple talaw victims from next year
