UP Elections 2022: BSP releases first list, names candidates for 53 seats
The Bahujan Samaj Party has issued the first list of candidates for the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh's 53 assembly seats. "We have decided candidates on 53 seats in the first list," BSP president Mayawati said at a press conference in Lucknow on Saturday. "The remaining 5 will be announced in a day or two," she added. Mayawati expressed confidence in her party's ability to win the elections and build a government. Beginning February 10, elections for the 403 Assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases. On February 10, a total of 58 assembly seats in 11 districts will go to the polls in the first phase.
