Unnao News: Search Continues for Deputy Director Drowned in Ganges | ABP News
In Unnao, a health department deputy director from Kabirpur Khambhauli village, along with three companions, went for a bath in the Ganges at Naanamau Ghat. During the bathing, they ventured into deep water and were swept away by the strong current. Despite efforts by his companions to rescue him, the individual was engulfed by the river. The incident has caused distress among the family members. The missing person is Aditya Vardhan Gaurav (44), a deputy director in the health department based in Varanasi. He is the cousin of a senior IAS officer from the Bihar cadre and the personal secretary to the Chief Minister. Aditya had arrived at the ghat with his friends, Yogeshwar Mishra and Pradeep Tiwari from Lucknow, intending to bathe in the Ganges before returning to his ancestral village of Kabirpur Khambhauli. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has been called in to search for him. Ramesh Chandra, Aditya's father, is a retired engineer from the irrigation department, currently residing in Aliganj, Lucknow. The family is anxiously awaiting news of his recovery.
