Union Budget 2024: SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes 2024 Budget for Lack of Provisions for UP

Akhilesh Yadav, President of the Samajwadi Party, has responded critically to the central government's 2024 budget, stating that it offers nothing substantial for Uttar Pradesh. He questioned the provisions made for the farmers in the state and criticized the government's handling of unemployment issues. Speaking to journalists after the budget announcement, Yadav remarked, "If we look at the situation in Uttar Pradesh, the investment climate has been poor. While large claims are made based on statistics, none of the projects are completed on time." He also commented on the special schemes announced for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, suggesting that these measures seem to be aimed more at securing political support than addressing the needs of the states.
