The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K. Palaniswami paid homage to the soldier martyred in Ladakh's Galwan valley. One of the three Soldiers, including one officer, belonged to Tamil Nadu.

China had strongly objected to India's important road construction in the Finger area near Pangong Lake.
