Manik Suri, the son of slain Shiv Sena (Taksali) leader Sudhir Suri, said on Saturday that his father's murder was pre-planned and that he got a call threat the day before the incident. He further stated that his family is in danger and that they (the Suri family) had been receiving threatening phone calls, news agency ANI reported.
Suri, (58) was shot five times during a protest outside a temple in a crowded Amritsar locality on Friday. After being shot, he fell and was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
"There was a threat call the night before the incident. My father received a call from the UK. The caller introduced himself as Amritpal Singh & said he was sending some men & his deal is done...It was planned,4 bullets hit him:" news agency ANI quoted Manik Suri, son of slain Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri as saying.
