Srinagar News: Smart Buses Revolutionize City Transport, Generates Rs 3 Lakh Revenue Daily | ABP News

E-buses have revolutionised Srinagar's transportation services over the past six months, bringing much-needed relief to commuters that include students, office goers and the general public. Launched by the Srinagar Smart City Limited or SSCL in November last year, the project has been a great success with around 100 buses operating on different routes in the city. These state-of-the-art e-buses are equipped with an ultra-high definition dash cam, stop push button, smart boarding and de-boarding facilities for individuals with disabilities, and various other features for tracking, safety, as well as comfort. Happy with the facilities on the buses, residents are now urging the administration to increase their number to improve connectivity. Officials are also happy with the response to the service and are actively receiving feedback for improvement. Official data shows nearly five lakh people use the e-buses every month. With an occupancy of 20 to 25 thousand per day, these buses generate revenue of three lakh rupees daily.
