Sawan 2022 : Devotees throng ghats in Haridwar to take holy dip | ABP News

Shravan, also called Sawan, is a holy month for followers of Lord Shiva. It is the fifth month in the Hindu calendar when devotees worship Lord Shiva during the month asking for prosperity and happiness in life. It is believed that the person who observes fast every Monday during this month, gets all his wishes fulfilled with the blessings of Lord Shiva. This year, the month of Sawan starts from 14 July and will end on 12 August on Shravan Purnima.
