Railways prepared 40,000 isolation beds: Health Ministry | Full PC

Joint Secretary of Health Ministry Lav Aggarwal in a press conference on Tuesday said, 'Till now 326 persons have been discharged after recovery. Till now there are 4,421 Coronavirus positive cases in the country, including 354 cases in the last 24 hours. Indian Railways has prepared 40,000 isolation beds in 2,500 coaches. They are making 375 isolation beds daily and this is going on across 133 locations across the country'. 

A recent ICMR study shows that if one COVID-19 patient doesn't follow lockdown orders or practice social distancing, then the patient can infect 406 people in 30 days, added Lav.
