Punjab: Akali Dal opposes agriculture ordinance

The opposition of the central government has been continuing since the introduction of the agricultural ordinance. Farmers in Haryana, Punjab as well as now in UP have started opposing the ordinance. The farmers and peasants have unitedly played the bugle of protest against the government.

Farmers fear that these ordinances will affect the current crop purchase policy. Farmers have feared that these ordinances will pave the way for the abolition of the Minimum Support Price.
