Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday reacted to the road accident in Pune where a 17-year-old boy killed two IT professionals with his speeding luxury car allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

The minor was granted bail hours after the incident under the condition that he would work with the Yerwada traffic police for 15 days and write a 300-word essay on road accidents.

"If the bus driver, truck driver, Ola, Uber and auto driver mistakenly kills anyone, then they get a jail term for 10 years and their keys are thrown. But a 16-17-year-old son of a rich family rides a Porche under the influence of alcohol and kill two people, then he is told to write an essay," Rahul Gandhi said in a video message on X.
