Police Set To Take Major Action Against Nawab Singh Yadav In Kannauj Case | ABP News
Kannauj: Former Samajwadi Party leader Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested on Monday for allegedly attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj. A case has been registered under the POCSO Act. Yadav has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
Kannauj Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Kumar Anand detailed the incident, stating, "A call was received on UP 112 at around 1.30 am last night. The caller reported that her clothes had been removed and an assault attempt was made." During interrogation, the minor revealed that she had visited Yadav's house with her aunt. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
