Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday recalled the entire incident during his tenure as Gujarat's chief minister, two days after an unusual judgment by a special court that sentenced 38 defendants in the 2008 Ahmedabad Bombings case to the death penalty and 11 others to life imprisonment. He launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP), claiming that the bombs were planted on cycles, which happens to be the SP's election emblem.
