In UP, 1571 villages in 69 tehsils of 20 districts are affected by floods. Apart from this, life of people has become disrupted due to floods in urban areas of Bareilly, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur. Due to which 14.80 lakh people are affected. Out of which 5.29 lakh people have suffered loss of agriculture, houses, household goods and animals. CM Yogi directed that along with floods, concrete efforts should also be made to resolve waterlogging. In view of the possibility of urban flood in urban areas, drains should be cleaned and pumping stations should be kept functional to drain water from low-lying areas. Alternative arrangements of gensets should also be made for the operation of pumping stations in urban areas.
