PTI made last-ditch efforts to lure another ally, the MQM-P, after securing PML(Q) support for the no-confidence motion against Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. On Monday night, a high-level delegation from the party, including Ministers Asad Umar, Pervez Khattak, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, met with the MQM-P leadership for the first time in nearly two years. According to insiders, the ruling party has agreed to offer MQM-P the federal government's Maritime Affairs portfolio, which is now held by Ali Haider Zaidi.
