Nirbhaya's advocate says, 'our system is rotten' after court defers hanging
A Delhi Court has deferred the matter as the mercy petition of one of the convicts, Pawan is pending before the President of India on Monday. Nirbhaya's advocate Seema Kushwaha says, our system is rotten' after the decision. Earlier on Monday, the court ordered that the four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya case be hanged "by the neck until they are dead" on March 3 at 6 a.m. after observing that deferring the execution any further would be sacrilegious to the victim's rights.
