Ninth round of talks between the farmers and government inconclusive
Farmers protest have been going on since 52 days but it hasn't been resolved yet. Recently, the ninth round of talks were concluded between the government and the representatives of farmers union. In this meeting, nothing substantial happened. The next round of talks will take place on 19th January.
The government and the farmers are at loggerheads due to the farm laws. According to the farmers, farm laws are black laws and the government should repeal it while on the other hand the government has proposed that the farm laws have been formulated in order to help the farmers in many ways.
