Major Breakthrough in Bahraich Violence, Police Arrest 26 More Suspects | ABP News
In the case of violence in Bahraich, five arrested accused have been sent to 14-day judicial custody. Meanwhile, the administration has become fully active, and the Public Works Department (PWD) has issued notices to homes and shops with illegal constructions in the Maharajganj area. One of the properties notified belongs to Abdul, the main accused in the Ram Gopal murder case. The PWD has asked the owners of these shops and homes to respond to the notices. The department stated that if permission from the district officer was not obtained before the construction, action would be taken. Several houses and shops in Mahsi Maharajganj have been identified, and notices have been posted on them. The notice posted on Abdul Hamid’s house mentions illegal construction near Maharajganj at Kilometer 38 of the Kundasar Mahsi Nanpara Major District Road. It specifies that, according to department standards, any construction within 60 feet from the center of a major district road in rural areas without departmental approval is considered illegal. The notice further states that if the construction was done with prior approval from the District Magistrate, Bahraich, or the concerned department, the original copy of the permission should be provided immediately. The illegal structure must be removed within three days. Otherwise, the illegal construction will be demolished with the help of the police and administration, and the expenses incurred will be recovered from the property owners as revenue. So far, police have arrested 60 people. In court on Friday, the five arrested suspects—Sarfaraz, Mohammad Talim, Abdul Hamid, Faheem, and Mohammad Afzal—were presented before Chief Judicial Magistrate Pratibha Chaudhary. They were all sent to 14-day judicial custody. Police have arrested 60 people so far in connection with the Bahraich violence case.
