Maharashtra witnesses rainfall ahead of Cyclone Nisarga

In order to make the residents of Maharashtra stay away from the coastal areas, Section 144 has been imposed by the Uddhav Thackeray government. On the other hand, police forces have been deployed at the Gateway of India.

Cyclone Nisarga will make a landfall today and this is why Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa are on red alert. The cyclone is 250 kilometers away from Mumbai and is bound to strike later in the day on Wednesday.
